MCP Tools
Understand the available iMario MCP tools and the checks required before spending.
The iMario MCP server exposes tools for listing audiences, creating and retrieving audiences, estimating research, running a study and retrieving its result. Upload preparation tools handle readable attachments before a run.
Read-only checks first
Start by listing accessible audiences and confirming the workspace. Use get_audience to inspect the definition and source. Use estimate_study to review scope, rejected audiences, credits and limits before any action that spends.
Do not create an audience or run research when the user asks only for an explanation or a list. A successful connection does not authorize spending.
Run and retrieve
After explicit approval, use run_study with the confirmed audience, method, material and respondent counts. Use get_study to inspect progress, completion and any partial or failed result. Report the returned study URL and distinguish modelled answers from interpretation.
The server also exposes request_upload for automatic attachment preparation and request_manual_upload as a fallback. Check the tool and server list after reconnecting if a capability is missing.
