Connect Knowledge Bases

Ground synthetic individuals in your specific context so their responses are actionable, not generic.

A synthetic individual is only as good as what it knows.

By default, individuals respond based on what their profile suggests they would realistically know. That's enough for general research — but if you're testing something specific, generic knowledge produces generic responses. A synthetic CMO who doesn't know your product can't give you useful feedback on your positioning. A simulated customer who has no context about your category will respond like a stranger, not a buyer.

Connecting a Knowledge Base changes that. It grounds your individuals in the specific context that makes their responses actionable.

To connect a Knowledge Base:

  1. Open the individual's profile and go to Capabilities
  2. Find the Knowledge row and click Connect
  3. Select the Knowledge Base you want to attach
  4. Click Save

Use this to:

  • Add company or product context
  • Inject domain-specific knowledge
  • Improve the accuracy and relevance of responses

The more relevant the knowledge, the more specific the insight. A well-grounded individual doesn't just answer your questions — it answers them the way someone who actually knows your space would.
