Materials & Connections

Build a Knowledge Base

Add files, links or text and wait for processing before using the material.

Open Knowledge Base in the sidebar, create a base and give it a name describing the context it holds.

Add sources

Use the input appropriate to the material:

  • From File: upload documents using the formats and size limit shown by the picker.
  • From Web Link: add a reachable URL and check the extracted content.
  • Plain Text: paste notes, facts or a short brief.
  • Google Drive: where the connected picker is available, select the files you want to import.

Choose only material relevant to the intended individual. Keep dates and source names in the content so an old policy or research summary is recognizable later.

Check processing

Sources appear in the base while processing and indexing. Wait for a ready state before expecting retrieval to use them. Open the processed file and check that important text is present, especially after importing a web page or a complex document.

For an error, inspect the file and supported input format before retrying. A successful upload alone does not establish successful extraction.

Connect and verify

Use Connect knowledge on the intended individual. Ask a focused question in chat and inspect the supporting sources.

The old plan-specific Knowledge Base/file quota table is retired. Pricing & credits explains current metering. See Manage a base for changes and removal.
