Run Your First Check
Paste your copy, pick an audience, and get a pinned, verdict-backed content check in a few minutes. Free during the Studio beta, step by step.
This walkthrough takes one piece of copy from paste to verdict. It takes a few minutes and, during the beta, it is free.
Step 1: Create a project
Open Projects in the sidebar and click + New project.
A Project goal dialog asks you to describe what this project should accomplish, for example "Validate my landing page copy with indie founders". Type a sentence and click ✓ Confirm project goal, and Studio pre-fills your goal, a suggested audience, and the project title from it. If you would rather start clean, click Skip for now, start blank.
Step 2: Add your copy
The project opens on the canvas. Add your content in one of two ways:
- Double-click anywhere on the canvas to add a content node.
- Press ⌘+V to paste copy straight in.
You can also use the chips on the empty canvas: Paste copy, Upload an image, or Try an example. The Drop a URL chip is a placeholder for now; Studio cannot fetch a page yet, so paste the page text or a screenshot instead.
A content node appears with an auto-detected type chip (Ad copy, Landing page, Concept, and so on) plus a row for its audience and goals.
Step 3: Pick an audience and goal
On the node's control row, open the Audience popover to choose who reads the copy. Each option carries a badge such as Calibrated, Census frame, or Model estimate. See Choose an audience for what each level means.
Open the Goals popover to set what the check looks for. The default is Find objections. You can also switch to Comprehension or Segment reactions. The Predict performance goal is retired and disabled on purpose.
Step 4: Run the check
Click Run check (the orange button at the bottom of the canvas). You can also run a single node with its own ▶ Run button.
The check moves through visible stages: "Parsing content", "Diagnosing audience", and "Probes ready". If there are blockers, it writes fix variants automatically and then runs "Three judges ruling independently". First findings usually land within a minute. A full verdict usually takes 3 to 6 minutes, and you can leave the page. Results are saved server-side.
Step 5: Read the findings and verdict
Findings arrive pinned to the exact words that cause them. Each one shows the share of the audience that hit it, a fix direction, and a few audience verbatims in the audience's own voice. Panel individuals from your audience react in the first person.
If nothing blocks, Studio tells you the copy holds up and does not force a rewrite. If there are blockers, it rewrites, the reviewers rule, and you get one plain verdict with a tier badge and three exits: Adopt the winner, Keep the original, or Explore anyway.
For what every part of the results panel means, see Read results and verdicts.
