# Work with a Synthetic Colleague

A synthetic colleague can help explore decisions in a particular style and context. Its reasoning is modelled; it does not recover all the undocumented judgment of a real teammate.

## Establish the perspective

Use an available individual and inspect its profile. Existing assessment or LinkedIn assets may supply relevant context. There is no automatic guarantee that two separately created individuals can be merged into one complete replica.

## Supply relevant knowledge

Create a [Knowledge Base](https://imario.ai/docs/knowledge-base/about) containing appropriate product facts, decisions and documentation. Connect the relevant files through the individual's capabilities.

Ask a question whose supporting material you know, then inspect the reply's citations. Recognizable wording is not enough; the facts and source use must also be right.

## Add tools when useful

Attach an available [Agent Skill](https://imario.ai/docs/synthetic-individuals/manage/connect-agent-skills) and authorize its required account. Ask for a concrete task in chat and inspect tool activity.

When an action needs approval, review the recipient, content or other parameters before approving it. A draft, a proposal and a completed action are different outcomes.

## Check the work
