# Connect Microsoft Teams

> Import selected Microsoft Teams conversations as audience evidence.

Use the Microsoft Teams connector when selected conversations contain evidence about the people or customer situations you want to study. The connector imports the records you authorize; it does not turn every workspace conversation into an audience.

## Before connecting

Confirm that you are signed in to the intended Microsoft account and can authorize the relevant Teams workspace. Decide which conversations are appropriate, remove unrelated or sensitive material where possible, and check that the records contain enough context to support the audience you want to build.

## Connect and review

1. Open **Audience**, start a new audience and choose **From your data**.
2. Choose **Connect Microsoft Teams** and approve the requested access.
3. Select the conversations or source scope to import.
4. Wait for processing, then review the imported records and detected fields.
5. Resolve identifiers and source roles before choosing **Review & Create**.

The connector is evidence for an audience, not a transcript of every future response. Inspect coverage and example people before running research. See [Build an Audience from Your Data](https://imario.ai/docs/audiences/build-from-data) and [Data and privacy](https://imario.ai/docs/workspace/data-and-privacy).

## Disconnect

Remove the source from the audience or revoke authorization in Microsoft Teams when access should stop. Check the source status and imported evidence after disconnecting.
